the hotel was a good choice for enjoying a pretty nice area, next to the ski slopes, mount buller and the village square. all the staff were amicable, attentive. the guest room was new-fashioned and good sized, with central heating, an electronic key card, and a tv set. the bed was extremely comfy; and there was a bathtub.

A mix of adventure and disappointment. Bunk beds reminded me of childhood sleepovers. Greeted by a stubborn sliding bathroom door, I enlisted my wife to play door holder. Technology fail with keyless entry. Our midnight serenade by the smoke alarm was the finale we didn't want. On the bright side, location was handy. But, missing linens made us feel like accidental nudists. Despite being left breathless by sewerage gases, I graciously aired complaints. "Neutral Aussie coastal vibes," they told me.
